Sunsail announces the launch of ‘Sunsail Racing’
with a brand new fleet of Sunsail F40s in the UK

Sunsail are very proud to launch our brand new product, ‘Sunsail Racing’ which focuses on making yacht racing more accessible to both experienced and novice sailors. With this, Sunsail have developed a much improved racing calendar to incorporate not just the major UK and Overseas events, but also to improve the open events in the UK, which is where the home of Sunsail racing is.

With the UK being home to Sunsail Racing, we are also delighted to announce that for 2011 we will be replacing our existing matched fleet for 2011 with 42 brand NEW identical Sunsail F40s, further improving Sunsail’s Racing and Events fleet as well as our Schools, Charters and Flotillas in the UK. This new fleet will remain the largest matched fleet in the world.

Developed from the Beneteau First 40 and Drawn by Farr Yacht Design, the Sunsail F40 is a thoroughbred racer/cruiser, adaptable for both, to suit the sailors and crew needs. A proven performer the F40 has been designed and developed from the Beneteau First 40, which took first and second overall in the IRC Division of the 2009 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race. In the same year it was awarded Crossover Boat of the Year Award by Sailing World Magazine.
