The first ever VX ONE North American Championship launches from the Pensacola Yacht Club on Friday, November 9. The three-day event will feature 16 VX ONE’s competing to become the inaugural North American Champion.

Gathering at PYC on Thursday, the competitors spent the day immersed in both on- and off-water tuning clinics.

The VX ONE is a fresh and exciting sport one-design for the international two to three person racing enthusiast. The design concept was born of a careful review of performance one-design demographics within this category worldwide. The VX ONE offers performance sailing in an affordable, durable, and technically advanced package, and at a realistic price. The builder is Bennett Yachting Technologies of Savannah, GA.

Nine races are planned. Photos will be available on the VX One Design Racing Facebook page. Visit www.vxonenac.com to follow live racing and results
