Vendée Globe - Sam Davies delighted with first solo experience

Vendée Globe 2012-12 gets underway on November 10th in Les Sables d'Olonne, France.

After coming back from her offshore sailing session started on June 14 in order to qualify for the Vendée Globe, Sam Davies expressed how delighted she was with this first solo experience on Savéol:

'It all went really well, it was a perfect opportunity to test the boat... and myself. The conditions were tough but that's what I was expecting. I decided to go for that qualifying session in June three months ago, and I knew how difficult the conditions were going to be. That's precisely what I was hoping for. The wind was over 30 knots three different times, it was huge when I left, and the sea was so heavy... Right now I'm exhausted but I'm super happy. I got to test myself and once the Vendée Globe starts, I'll know what to do and how to Vendée Globe website
