America's Cup- Oracle Team USA reveal new AC72 in San Francisco

Oracle Team USA, the Defending team in the 34th America's Cup have unveiled their second AC72 catamaran, and the boat that will most likely be the Defender in the America's Cup Regatta, to be sailed in September 2013.

At first blush, the new AC72 appears to be a development of the design concept initiated with their first AC72, refined when that boat was modified after a capsize in October 2012, and now extended further with this new AC72.

The emphasis on reduction of aerodynamic drag is apparent, with larger foiling on the cross beams and a minimisation of the load distribution systems.
