This year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is high on the agenda for several key personnel from some of the marine industry’s largest players, as well as visiting proponents from the superyacht industry.

Two days prior the event, which runs 24 to 27 May, is the second annual 2012 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX), hosted by AIMEX and Superyacht Australia. This event has attracted speakers and delegates from around the globe – the US, Netherlands, UK, New Zealand, Turkey and United Arab Emirates – which will not only add international clout to the boat show, but also extend the opportunities for brands doing business at the boat show.

The International Business Lounge is conducted by the Queensland Government, Business Gold Coast, Austrade, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, operating during Show hours from 9am to 5pm for bona fide members.

On the marine industry front, there are many senior representative who will be attending the 2012 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

From the US, Bonnie Frenkel, Regal Boat’s International Sales Manager is planning to attend this year’s event, having just appointed a Gold Coast dealer for the brand, Game and Leisure Boats at Runaway Bay Marina on the Gold Coast.

Geoff Burton, manager at Game and Leisure Boats, says the company was eager to become dealers for the brand and will have a boat on display at Sanctuary Cove. 'Customers are really passionate about the boats. Our first two customers are life-long Regal owners moving up in the brand. The quality of the build and their performance are second to none.'

From France, Jean-Paul Chapeleau, General Manager of Jeanneau and Prestige, and Paul Blanc, Asia Pacific Marketing Manager will attend the show, hosted by Brett Thurley and his team from Pacific Motor Yachts, which represents Jeanneau Powerboats and Prestige Luxury Motor Yachts.
Mark Campion, partner at Clipper Motor yachts will also be visiting. Mark lives and works in China, overseeing production at the Clipper facility.

Multihull Solutions will be hosting Stéven Guedeu, Commercial Director of Fountaine Pajot, who is coming to Australia for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

'I am looking forward to seeing Multihull Solutions at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show,' said Guedeu. 'The company is our leading distributor in Fountaine Pajot's international network, so I am interested in seeing them in action and learning more about the Australian marine market at this renowned event.'

Brett Flanagan and Peter Hill from Integrity Motoryachts will welcome six delegates include the Managing Director, Financial Controller and a selection of senior managers from the Jianghau Marine & Engineering Company in China.

'We are bringing them to Sanctuary Cove Boat Show to show them how we do things here, to take them through the boat show, a tour around the Gold Coast and show them it’s a great place to go boating, as well as sell some boats!'

Last year, Integrity sold three boats at the show and another one before the end of 2011. 'It was very rewarding,' says Brett. 'This year’s exhibit at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and bringing the Integrity team here from China are the biggest things we’ve done in terms of investment,' says Brett, adding that they will have four new models on display – the world debut for the 400 and 360 Flybridge plus the 360 Sedan.

The Navico head office in New Zealand is sending John Scott, COO and Doug Anderson, Director of Sales & Marketing supported by local marketing and sales directors.

In his role as Manager of Government, Industry and International Relations, Barry Jenkins says Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is held in high esteem around the globe. 'Particularly in Asia and the Middle East, Sanctuary Cove is held up as the benchmark of boat shows and the premier showcase of the marine lifestyle. All over Europe and the US people certainly know about the show and express their interest in attending.'
