Sailing Illustrated's Tom Ehman and Sail-World's NZ Editor, Richard Gladwell discussed the latest developments in the America's Cup, last Friday/Saturday (depending on your time zone) on sailing's only regular live video podcast.

Between them they have over 80 years America's Cup experience - from quite different perspectives, and both are from the Other Side of the sailing media.

Tom Ehman is a Cup insider, beginning as Jury Secretary for the 1980 America's Cup, working with several US teams including New York Yacht Club, Stars and Stripes, Oracle BMW Racing. An America's Cup rules expert, he has been on the sharp end of both NYSC Court cases in 1988 and 2010 - winning both. He has hosted the twice weekly Sailing Illustrated, only regular live video podcast, for nine years. Sailing Illustrated is just short of its 900th episode.

Richard Gladwell began covering the America's Cup in late 1983, and has covered the Cup initially for New Zealand print publications, before shifting to the internet in 2005 - covering almost every heart beat of 12 America's Cups. He was a consultant to TVNZ for the development of the America's Cup graphics by ARL in 1991/92, and he has authored three books on the America's Cup.

Both Tom and Richard are former Int Judges and Int Umpires, with Ehman serving at a senior level in on sailing's world federation at Committee level and several Olympic juries.

Be sure to catch the upcoming Sailing Illustrated, featuring the Olympic Silver medalist and top boat builder Luca Devoti, who led the Italian +39 America's Cup team in 2007. His latest project is a very promising 13ft foiling singlehanded monohull. Luca always presents a unique view of the sport.
