Railblaza is the new Star in marine fittings

Railblaza - Kayak Rod Holders Mike Rose
A clever new system is about to revolutionise the way boaties mount and stow pieces of equipment on their vessels.
Developed by Auckland designer and entrepreneur Ross Pratt, the revolutionary new Railblaza system allows boaties to mount baitboards, rod holders, dive bottles, boat hooks and virtually everything else exactly where they want it – and when.
At the heart of the versatile new system is the StarPort, a robust, durable holder that can easily be flush or recessed mounted not just on horizontal surfaces but on vertical and even sloping ones, too!
They can even be mounted on pulpit, pushpit or bow rails; on a kayak or, without having to cut into the pontoon, on an RIB!
Once in place, the StarPort opens up a whole new world of wonderfully practical mounting and stowage options.
Railblaza has created a huge range of fittings that simply click into and out of the Starports. G Holds and hooks, eyes and webeyes (for holding everything from boat hooks and gaffs to fishing rods and brooms); baitboards; rod holders dive bottle holders and adjustable platforms for filleting tables and the like: all can quickly and easily slot into a StarPort and, just as easily, move from one StarPort to another. The unique design of the StarPort also means each fitting can be placed in one of three different positions.
The StarPort is also the same size and shape as most common brand sailboat winch handle receivers, so sailors can even use the Railblaza range without a StarPort.
The new Railblaza system is the brainchild of 30-year marine industry stalwart, Ross Pratt, the co-founder of BEP Marine and one of those responsible for its growth into a company that now exports to 35 countries.
The entire range is manufactured in New Zealand from strong glass-filled nylon and AES plastic designed to cope with outdoor conditions, especially the harsh marine environment. All components are totally water- and corrosion-resistant and the entire range comes with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.
The Railblaza range is also suitable for use on a wide range of vehicles, including utes, motorhomes and caravans, quad bikes and farm equipment.
The Railblaza StarPort and the wide range of practical and inexpensive fittings is available in New Zealand and Australia through leading marine dealers and in Burnsco stores in New Zealand.
