Club Safety Boat Operator Course for Rowing Clubs is now available

Rowing New Zealand - Club Safety Boat Operator Course for Rowing Clubs is now available at Coastguard Boating Education Coastguard Boating Education .

A new (Rowing Club version) Club Safety Boat Operator Course is now available nationally through Coastguard Boating Education accredited instructors.

This one-day practical course has been developed in consultation with Rowing NZ and Maritime NZ. The course meets the requirement for all RNZ Coaches as detailed in the RNZ Club Safety Responsibilities Guide and Water Safety Code and is approved by Maritime NZ.

The course is designed to be run at rowing clubs, utilising club coach boats and equipment. It covers all safety aspects, boat handling, towing and rescue techniques tailored to the needs of rowing club coaches and safety boat operators.

Qualified, experienced, accredited instructors will provide the training, with assistance from the club appointed Safety Officer.
