Fremantle to Bali Race & Rally 2013 – the adventure of a lifetime

by Fremantle to Bali Race & Rally on 19 Jun 2012
Limit - Visit Indonesia Fremantle to Bali 2011 Fremantle to Bali
Early responses to the 2013 Welcome Indonesia Fremantle to Bali Race & Rally have delighted organisers with more than a dozen nominations received within days of the event launch.

The biennial Wonderful Indonesia Fremantle to Bali Race and Rally will set sail on May 4, 2013 with the alluring blue water event taking place at a time when weather conditions are usually benign and the sailing is bliss.

The race distance is 1440 nautical miles Fremantle to Bali and would typically take around 11 days. In 2011 Limit set a record of six days.

Information sessions are available to Perth clubs where Media Director Bernie Kaaks, will cover items such as customs procedures, safety, navigation, weather and so on, making the whole process easy for boat owners. We urge you to live the dream by coming along to the presentation and signing up to be a part of this memorable event.

As part of the Beyond Bali experience, yachts can cruise amongst the more than 17,000 islands making up the Indonesian archipelago ‘in company’, knowing the arranged stopovers and visits will offer a genuine and welcoming insight into the real Indonesia, well away from the tourist trail. Cruising in the archipelago is arguably the best in the world, with thousands of islands and the world’s best diving and with more species of coral than on the Great Barrier Reef.

The event is aiming to attract a fleet of 50 or more ocean-going yachts and is Western Australia’s only international yacht race.
