The east coast of Australia's northern most yacht club, Port Douglas Yacht Club, presents the Exemplar Clipper Cup Regatta, May 23rd to 27th 2012.

Entries are now open for the three division six race regatta with a prize pool of $8,000 and a chance to claim the historic Pan Am Clipper Cup trophy that now resides at the holiday haven of Port Douglas.

Too far to bring your own boat to race the winds of paradise? Then why not come for a holiday and crew with the local fleet? The event coincides with Port Douglas Carnivale, a ten day celebration of life in the tropics and still the most fun under the tropical sun.
