First Chinese sailor completes Charente-Maritime Bahia Transat 6.50

Chuan Guo (487 – Vasa) the first Chinese in history to have participated to the Charente-Maritime / Bahia Transat 6.50, crossed the finish line of the second leg on Monday at 9 hours 24 minutes 08 seconds UTC.

It took him 24 days 20 hours 54 minutes 47 seconds to sail between Funchal (Madeira) and Salvador de Bahia to the mean speed of 5.47 knots.

His overall race time is 35 days 09 hours 11 minutes 06 seconds to the mean speed of 5.36 knots.
