The Brisbane Boat show is set to make its fore into fashion this year – hosting a series of catwalk parades in a bid to appeal to female water enthusiasts.

White Sands Swimwear will show its Miami Collection for the first time in Australia, armed with a high profile line up of models including Fox Sports Panellist on the League Lounge (Fox Sports magazines Rugby League show) Renee Gartner.

The 51st annual show will hit the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 25th to 28th bringing the latest in boating, fishing and water accessories and for the first time this year, cutting edge swimwear trends from Miami Swim Week.

Marine Queensland event manager, Jason Plant, said the swimwear parades were just one of the ways the 51st annual show would stand out from previous years.

'The Brisbane Boat Show is a lifestyle event so why not throw boat based fashion into the mix,' he said.

Creative director of White Sands, Leah Madden, said the Brisbane Boat Show was a celebration of the Queensland lifestyle and was an ideal alignment for the label.

'Blue skies, perfect beaches, bright sun and laid back people are all things that epitomise the Queensland lifestyle and form the foundation of White Sands designs,' she said.

Madden said the Miami Collection was inspired by vintage glamour – incorporating lingerie style design principles to create the edginess of haute couture with the softness of a ballet dancer.

'We have used mix of fabrics this year, with layering of our reputable jersey and voile to create the perfect fit - the Miami Collection is definitely a little cheekier,' she said.

Aussie bombshell and Fox Sports presenter Renee Gartner said she was thrilled to make her catwalk swimwear debut at the annual show.

'This is my first swimwear catwalk event and I really couldn't think of a better label to begin with.'

'White Sands is designed for fashion-forward women with a carefree lifestyle and I am proud to be able to communicate that message at the Brisbane Boat Show,' she said.
