North South Yachting (NSY) is proud to announce Greenline Ocean Class 70, marking a new era in green, efficient extended world cruising.

After the immensely successful Greenline Hybrid 33, the Superdisplacement™ hull has been applied to a larger scale. The first of the new range, transoceanic Greenline hybrid takes form as Greenline Ocean Class 70. A smaller transoceanic sister of 55 feet is already on the drawing board and is expected to be launched for the 2012/13 season.

Greenline additionally presented the Greenline 40 concept earlier this year at the Dusseldorf Boat show and are working on another larger boat in the design phase around 45 feet.

While the new range and models were being developed Greenline have been able to profit from all the tank- testing, hybrid/solar technology research conducted for the creation of the Greenline 33. It is clear that with her Superdisplacement™ hull, hybrid capacity, solar T top and unmatched comfort the 70 is a pure-bred Greenline Hybrid. The size, flybridge concept and the transatlantic capacity gave rise to the first of a new range of Ocean Class Greenline Hybrid range.

The Ocean Class 70 continues with the philosophy of her smaller sisters, but takes comfort and range to a new level. With her seaworthy Superdisplacement™ hull allowing for a transoceanic range, coupled to solar and hybrid technology, this particular vessel is about to have a huge impact on the boating community in the years to come, increasing the comfort and decreasing the cost of boating in a significant way – while drastically reducing the carbon emission footprint of a boating family.

The first Ocean Class Hybrid will be available in January 2012. With a 3 kW solar array on the hard-top, 80 kWh of energy stored in Lithium batteries and a twin hybrid propulsion system rated at 120 kW, the Ocean Class 70 Hybrid will be able to cruise in perfect silence and without stressing the environment, while delivering a range of 20 nautical miles in absolute silence and completely emission-free.

The Ocean Class 70 Hybrid Ready build No.1 is currently undergoing initial tests in the Mediterranean.
Demonstrations will be available by end of May 2011.

North South Yachting will be distributing the full range of Greenline Hybrid power boat across their national dealership network. Orders for the 33 can be delivered in Australia in August 2011 and 40 and 70 orders can be taken for delivery in early 2012. The multi-award winning Greenline Hybrid 33 will be on display at the forthcoming Sydney International Boat Show on 28 July to 01 Aug 2011.
