Have you ever wanted to charter a Farr 40 for some fun in a Pacific North West Race? Imagine a fully equipped race boat with a full set of sails, safety gear ready to go for Southern Straights, Swiftsure, Halibut Bank, Anvil Island, Whidbey Race Week or local round the can racing.

Perhaps you and your crew are ready for the ultimate Pacific North West Sailing Adventure. Blast Performance Sailing has acquired the rights to the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race www.vanisle360.com .

How about settling which crews are top drawer with a 'friendly' Yacht Club versus Yacht Club crew challenge on identical boats? Identical boats remove any wiggle room for rating or storage issues! Perhaps there is an alternative to a round of golf with an on the water corporate/client event? It could be sales versus marketing, law firm versus law firm, business versus business. We can organise a day of friendly Match Racing or a fun performance sail to Bowen Island for lunch and back for après sail activities at a local waterfront hotel.

The opportunity is now here right on Granville Island in downtown Vancouver. Blast Performance Sailing has two identical Farr 40 sailboats ready to charter. Your team does not require previous sailing experience as we can arrange for each boat to have experienced sailors on board to ensure a great day on the water.

In addition to the two Farr 40’s Abracadabra and Shaazam, Blast Performance Sailing is a Canadian Yachting Association School offering on the water basic learn to race keelboat programs. As well several performance related on the water clinics such as 'So you want to be a bow person', 'No Screaming Allowed' which is perfect for crew looking to tame their skipper and the ever popular 'Taming of the colourful balloon like sail' also known as Spinnaker Handling.

Performance gear the shop stocks includes technical sailing clothing from Gill (ask about our junior sailing program), Spinlock Deckvest's & tethers, PRO-tech specialty tapes to reduce line chaffing and Harkan gear.

Installation of Harkan roller furlers, standing or running rigging, stainless steel fabrication or repair is also available through the shop using the services of Pat Dion of Rain City Yacht Services. http://raincityyachtservices.com

Blast Performance Sailing is located at 1814 Mast Tower road, Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. 604 669-7245 www.blastsailing.com
