18ft Skiffs Winning Appliances JJ Giltian World Championship 2011 race 6 protest result has been announced.

A protest by Michael Coxon (Thurlow Fisher Lawyers) against Seve Jarvin (Gotta Love It 7) has been upheld and consequently Gotta Love It 7 has been disqualified from Race 6.

Seve Jarvin is considering an appeal so at this stage all point are provisional pending an appeal.

The leading six points scorers now (after discard) are:

10 Thurlow Fisher Lawyers
13 Gotta Love It 7
20 Slam
23 CST Composites
24 Red Claw Wines
25 Smeg

To simplify the overall championship position, if Gotta Love It 7 wins today’s race, then Thurlow Fisher Lawyers will have to finish third or better to win the title.

If the both teams finish level on points (after a Gotta Love It 7 win in Race 7) then Gotta Love It 7 would win on a count back with three wins ahead of Thurlow Fisher Lawyers’s two wins.
