Extreme Sailing Series - Oman, Artemis Racing wrap up

by Morgan Trubovich on 25 Feb 2011
23rd of February, Day 4 of the Extreme Sailing Series, Act 1, Muscat, Oman Extreme 40’s - Oman - Day 4 Sander van der Borch / Artemis Racing http://www.sandervanderborch.com
Extreme Sailing Series Act 1, The Wave Muscat, Oman.

Morgan Trubovich reports from the Artemis Racing camp:

Well, our first ever Extreme 40 event came to a close today. It had another action packed day of stadium racing for all 11 teams. Our goal at the beginning of the day was to try to keep a place on the podium for the event. But with 7 races on the cards (and the seventh race counting for double points) there was a lot of points on the table. Anything could happen.

As it turned out, we had another solid day. Not enough to beat the French team 'Groupe Edmond de Rothschild', but well enough to beat everyone else.

We really had a good week and are all very proud of how we did in our first ever event in the Extreme 40 Class.

Next stop in the Extreme Sailing Series is China.

We are craning the boat out in the dark right now, so I am off to help.
