Volvo Penta IPS has revolutionised propulsion efficiency, onboard comfort, better for the environment and provides the boat designers and builders to utilise the extra internal volume that Volvo Penta IPS brings.

The first release, Volvo Penta IPS1 was launched in 2005 coupled with 5 engine options from 260hp D4 to 435hp D6 engine.

Next second release came the Volvo Penta IPS2 coupled with 2 versions of the D11 engine, either 600hp or 700hp.

Now Volvo Penta will release for the first time in the southern hemisphere, at both the Sanctuary Cove and Sydney Boat Shows, the third release Volvo Penta IPS3, coupled with the outstanding D13 engine at either 800hp or 900hp.

Auke Bruinsma, General Manager, Volvo Penta Oceania, said the three models will be on display for all to see.

Australia has many production boat models with Volvo Penta IPS1 and IPS2, and it will not be long before the first locally manufactured IPS3 boat will be seen.

Globally more than 12,000 Volvo Penta IPS units have been installed.
