Monte Carlo Yachts Carla Demaria guest at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

An impeccable pedigree in boat building and marketing, the head of Monte Carlo Yachts, Carla Demaria will attend the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2011. SW
Organisers of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show are ecstatic to announce special guest, Ms Carla Demaria of Monte Carlo Yachts for this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 19-22 May 2011.

After many months of negotiations, organisers secured Ms Demaria and will be working on opportunities for her to address exhibitors, trade and other visitors to this year's event.

Ms Demaria's background includes working with the Azimut Benetti Group in many roles, including Sales and Marketing Director in 1990 and Managing Director of Azimut Capital by 2000.

In 2008 she left the Azimut Group and with the Beneteau Group (the largest yachting group in the world) she founded Monte Carlo Yachts, an Italian company driven by 'a genuine search of innovation with the mission of building luxury motor yachts 19m and above'.

The new company, in its state-of the-art factory in the Trieste Gulf built its first model, the Monte Carlo Yachts 76, which launched at the Cannes Yacht Show in September 2010, and then went on to collectan unprecedented numbers of awards over the next five months, among them: Cannes Boat Show, World Yacht Trophy for the Design
and World Yacht Trophy for the Most Innovative Yacht; Genoa Boat Show, Motot Boat of the Year; Milan, Nautical Award from ADI (Associazione Design Industriale); London Boat Show, Motor Yacht of the Year over 55’ and most recently, Boot Dusseldorf, where it took out European Powerboat of the Year over 50’.

'It will be great to have an international proponent, head of a major force in boat building, a lady whose background is impressive,' says Barry Jenkins. 'Carla, fresh out of the European shows will be able to give the industry a very up to date message about what is going on in Europe and what the market is looking for.'
