Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi - F4 class update.

The first heat of the F4s Abu Dhabi GP produced a titantic battle between Sweden's Oskar Samuelsson in the Rainbow colours and German Stefan Hagin in Team Atlantic livery.

It's important in this class to get a good start and 2009 world champion Hagin roared away from the grid to lead the way. However by the half way stage Samuelsson was snapping at the German's rooster and with four laps remaining the Rainbow pilot took the lead and won in convincing manner.

Both Oskar and Stefan are experienced F4 drivers with over four years in Molgaard hulls and this clearly shows in their times. Although a newcomer to F4, Mad Croc Filip Roms shows he is a quick learner filling third place ahead of another F4 rookie Xiong Ziwei of Team China.

Bimba Sjoholm, the only female driver was a lot quicker in qualifying than in the race but still managed fourth place ahead of the first Arab driver Rashid Al Tayer of Team Abu Dhabi. It is amazing that Al Tayer was driving the victorious Abu Dhabi offshore Class 1 boat only a week ago.

David Del Pin made a bad start and struggled to catch up while Qatar's Slah Al Shamlin is on a learning curve. Team Nautic's Matt Palfreyman is still struggling with his wayward Pugh hull but managed to keep Singha Beer's Tobias Munthe-Kass at bay to avoid last place.

Samuelsson leads the table with three race remaining.
