Unlike other sports, China did not sweep all events in sailing, but still managed to produce 10 medals (four gold, two silver, and four bronzes) – good enough for the overall crown.

Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaotian survived a poor finishes in the final three races Saturday, as he hanged on to win the gold.
Zhang racked up six first place finishes to take a four-point edge over Malaysia’s Ahmad Latif Khan Bin Ali Sabri Khan (31) and Singapore’s Lo Jun Han Ryan.
On the women’s side, Wang Ning finished with 14 points to seize the Mistral class, while Sun Sasa also took first after collecting 13 points in RS:X class.
However, China’s bid in match racing ended with a fourth-place effort, as Japan's Wataku Sakamoto nabbed the gold while India and South Korea came in second and third, respectively.
