After an absence of five years Braz Optics, 'The Australian Sunglass Co', will again be exhibiting their new highly developed polarized sunglass range at the Annapolis Sail Show, Maryland October 7-11.

Barz will feature on a floating pontoon at the western end of the Annapolis Harbour on Chesapeake Bay. Kevin Barr (Managing Director) will be displaying their sunglass range, which includes polarized and non-polarized Bi-focal, Polycarbonate, Photo chromic, Glass, Acetate and CR39 lenses.

With a successful couple of years in the Australian and New Zealand market Barz Optics is ready to take on the northern hemisphere with their unique products. The Annapolis show has clashed dates with the Mandurah Boat show in Perth, Western Australia where Barz has exhibited for the last four years. But now that the Australian market is performing beyond expectations, Kevin now wishes to expand their export markets.

Kevin Barr, owner of the company, says he is keen to get back to Anapolis - the friendliest show on earth!

'It's a dedicated sailing trade show and becomes the hub of the world for people from the US, Europe, the Caribbean, and quite a few Australian companies too,' he says. 'There's a great atmosphere. Size wise, it's about the size of Sanctuary Cove, but purely sailing. It's located in an old dock area in the historic part of town, like Sydney's Rocks. It's the centre of sailing in America and it's a phenomenally friendly show. For that week, Anapolis unites the whole industry, from all around the world - competitors and colleagues.'

As Kevin explains, on the last day of the show, the sailing boats leave and two days later there's the Power boat show. 'There's a time lapse display on their website showing the bump out and in. It's an amazing feat!'

New to Barz Optics is an extended women’s range, which includes styles that are stylish, comfortable and practical for the lady sailor.

Barz polarised styles with non-polarised bi-focals are ideal for the sailer who wears glasses to read for viewing charts, digital screens.

Barz Optics is currently seeking distributors for the marine market in various parts of the world.

METS is next up on the agenda, where Barz Optics will be attending as part of the AIMEX contingent.
