Footy legend and mad keen fisho Andrew Ettingshausen has landed the twelfth season of his popular television show ‘Escape with ET’ and this year Australian outdoor retailer BCF – Boating, Camping and Fishing has jumped on board as a major sponsor.
BCF Chief Operating Officer Steve Doyle said the popular fishing and four-wheel driving show was a perfect match for the retailer, since both are all about celebrating good times in the great outdoors.
'Andrew and the Escape team are truly passionate about boating, camping and fishing and, like the BCF team, they live and breathe Australia’s great outdoors and everything it has to offer,' Mr Doyle said.
'The show covers everything from how to catch a mighty cod in the hinterland, to where to chase game fish offshore and how to cook up a seafood feast once you’ve landed that catch. As it moves into its twelfth series, I’m proud to say ‘Escape with ET’ is now one of the longest running lifestyle programs on Australian free-to-air television.
'Some of my favourite episodes have been filmed in the most spectacular locations across the country, including the rugged but beautiful coastline of Cape York Peninsula,' he said.
Ettingshausen said that he can’t wait to show Australians an even more adventurepacked series.
'The Escape team will be chasing more adrenalin, heading to more exotic destinations and catching more fish than ever,' Mr Ettingshausen said. 'We are extremely excited to have BCF onboard and are looking forward to another great series.'
Series 12 is due to kick off on 24th October on Network Ten across Australia. Other hosts include fishing fanatic and rally car driver Michael Guest, marine biologist and keen scuba diver Giovanna Fasanelli, 4WD guru Toby Bosschieter and resident chef Bart Beek.
Launched in October 2005, BCF – Boating, Camping and Fishing currently has 71 stores located in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Northern Territory, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
