Hamish Pepper and Craig Monk sailing to 23rd overall in the European Championships SW
New Zealand's Star crew of Hamish Pepper and Craig Monk have finished third in the sixth race of the European Star Championships being sailed in Italy.

The placing was their third in the top ten in the quaint six race series format that the Stars use for their major championships, however an OCS in Race 3 and two other low places counted heavily against the former world champion and Olympic bronze medalist.

They finished in 23rd overall. Three US crews finished in the top five.

The regatta was won by the German crew of Johannes Polgar and Markus Koy.
