Maree & Peter Sharp sailing IA 22 (Idiosyncrasy) won the fourth and fifth races today at Northcote & Birkenhead Yacht Club. Idiosyncrasy had won the first three races on 27 February - but sailing next day was postponed due to the tsunami warning.

Grant Blewett sailing IA 69 (Gemini) came second in today's racing - confirming his placing in the first three races. Graham Rowe and Douglas Roberts came third in today's racing and won the Outcry Trophy for most improved crew.

In skippering Idiosyncrasy to victory, Maree becomes the first women to win the Moffat Cup since it was first sailed in 1936.

John Grace, president of the WYA attended the post racing event today and is shown in the accompanying photo presenting Graham Rowe and Douglas Roberts with the Outcast Trophy. The Outcry Trophy is a framed badge from the Auckland reps Messrs Wilson, Simons and Hogg in the 1955 NZ IA Series.

Results from todays sailing are delayed due to technical issues; results from the first day's sailing can be found on the IA website http://groups.google.com/group/idlealongassociationofnz/.

Old IA skippers from the 1940s to the 1960s also attended the event and are keen to contribute to the IA History being compiled on the IA website.
