Riviera appoints Full Model Line Dealer in New Zealand

by Stephen Milne on 10 Apr 2010

Riviera, Australia's most awarded pleasure boat builder has appointed R Marine New Zealand as a full line Riviera dealer. Effective immediately, R Marine New Zealand will now be the sole retail arm for Riviera in New Zealand.

With this appointment, R Marine New Zealand will now formerly offer the exciting and growing Riviera Sport Yacht range from 36 to 58 feet together with the existing Flybridge, Offshore Express and Motor Yacht ranges. This will bring R Marine New Zealand's offering to 20 individual Riviera models from 36 to 85 feet in length.

'R Marine New Zealand and their team are truly the Riviera professionals. With over 67 years of combined Riviera knowledge and a staggering 246 years of combined boating experience, dealer principal Bruce McGill has gathered around him a team rich in boating skills' commented Riviera Chef Executive Officer, John Anderson.

'Bruce and his team have built a very strong dealership based on excellent product knowledge and a first class attitude to owner service. They have a fleet of eight mobile service vans. The dealership boasts a fully fledged service department comprising thirteen people undertaking the full spectrum of shipwright, engineering and electrical trades. They also offer scheduled routine maintenance and warranty work. Indeed R Marine New Zealand has been the recipient of multiple Riviera Service and Sales Excellence awards over the last nineteen years.

'We are very proud to have R Marine New Zealand now offer the full Riviera line. If the team are able to do for our awarded Sport Yacht line what they have done for Riviera Flybridge boats with over 350 flybridge boats in the market, our future in New Zealand will be very exciting indeed'.

The news of this full Riviera line dealership appointment follows the recent staging of the annual R Marine New Zealand Fishing Tournament held last weekend in Whangaroa north of the Bay of Islands, some 270 nm north of Auckland, where a total of 18 boats and over 80 participants enjoyed 3 days of camaraderie and fishing in challenging weather conditions.

'Our Riviera boating events such as last week's tournament help bring the Riviera family together for some healthy competition and a lot of healthy fun. With the formal addition of Sport Yachts to our dealership, we will be extending our owner events this year to include new family cruising events that Sport Yacht owners will eagerly want to participate in' commented Bruce McGill the dealer principal of R Marine New Zealand.

'There is a large contingent of Riviera's here in New Zealand and I encourage owners to register with us so we can notify them of upcoming Riviera events we are planning to hold this year,' he said.

'Our team are keen to offer the Kiwi market all the benefits of the Riviera Sport Yacht design and performance. The overall concept of one-level living, aft galley and the way the cockpit and saloon flow together as one space is just perfect for how we boat here. There is enormous potential for the Riviera Sport Yacht line in New Zealand and we are truly excited by the opportunity.
