Australia's Gold Coast based Superior Jetties, an international manufacturer of marine berthing systems, has recently completed Stage 11 of the world class marine precinct project on Eden Island in the Indian Ocean island group, The Seychelles.

The Eden Island project is being developed by Eden Island Development Company and will ultimately incorporate 500 villas, all of which will have a berth. Villa construction and project sales are being staged and berths are installed progressively as villas are completed.

Peter Smith, Marketing Director for Eden Island Development Company comments, 'After an international search, Superior Jetties was selected to complete the manufacture of the berths to fit our vision for Eden Island, which is a major development in the Seychelles. The fact that each villa has its own berth provides the development with facilities and convenience that is quite unique.'

Mr Smith went on to say 'We selected Superior based on their strong product and the Capri system's flexible connections that made any adjustments required in a remote location much easier. The project has progressed very well with berths installed on a continuous basis as villas have been completed. The Capri's subtle colours have blended in well with our vision for this beautiful site.'

John Hogan, Superior's Managing Director visited The Seychelles recently and stated that 'It was such a pleasure to see the completed villas and the vision taking place just as the architects had predicted. It really is a beautiful and restful place.'

'This project has been an important part of Superior Jetties' international expansion as it has shown that our logistics and systems work well even when installed in a distant location.'

Eden Island is an integrated resort development, situated just off the coast of Mahé. Over 40 hectares in size and with more than 16 hectares of private waterways, this man-made paradise will be developed into one of the most exciting residential marina developments in the world.

Working closely with the Seychelles government, the developers have led a team of world renowned architects, urban designers, interior designers and engineers who have planned, researched and created a project that is in complete harmony with the unspoilt beauty and serenity of the Seychelles. Eden Island has caught the imagination of investors, holidaymakers, professional yachtsmen and wide-eyed dreamers the world over.

Eden Island's high-calibre commercial marina will be providing berthing facilities for all types of vessels, but specialise particularly in accommodating super-yachts up to 100m in length. Each of the over 470 apartments, spacious maisons and private villas will have access to their own mooring, so that every owner can have a boat or yacht anchored in paradise.

Superior Jetties designs, manufactures and installs a variety of marine berthing systems both within Australia and internationally. In the past twelve months Superior has completed multiple facilities in Malaysia with partner PMM Malaysia, expanded their Middle East office with local UAE partner Al Masaood, and won the tender with their Korean partner Shinwa Marine, to build the new Han River Marina in Seoul.
