The new Maritimo 47 Sports Cabriolet with Volvo Penta IPS drives will headline the company’s impressive 11-boat on water display at Australia's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

Maritimo Marketing Director Luke Durman said highlights will also include the new 470 Offshore Convertible sportfisher. Australian showgoers will also have their first opportunity to inspect the magnificent flagship M73 Motoryacht launched in July last year.

Mr Durman said the slow-speed manoeuvrability of pod systems clearly provides many owners in the mid-range market with an added sense of security.

'Our design team is also taking advantage of the added space offered amidships to provide more cabin space in these boats,' he said.

'We believe Volvo Penta IPS and Maritimo’s renowned quality boat building will be an attractive combination for the market,' he said.

The new 470 Offshore Convertible enclosed flybridge model is a three cabin/two bathroom luxury cruiser and sportfisher joins the successful 500 and 550 models in this line.

Mr Durman said: 'The cruiser/sportfisher is a strong sector of the luxury boating market both in Australia and around the world. At Maritimo we have built an enviable reputation for long-range luxury cruisers. Now we are expanding those skills to the mid-range sportfish market.'

With an internal staircase to the enclosed bridge, aft helm position and a large fishing-friendly cockpit, the 470 Offshore Convertible is aimed at a market for people who love both cruising and the thrill of big game fishing.'

The company’s flagship M73 Motoryacht is certain to be a significant drawcard at the show with luxurious and spacious interior, a massive cockpit and full-beam master stateroom.

'We have been delighted with the response to the M73,' said Mr Durman. 'As well as Australian buyers, we have already secured sales in the United States and Singapore.
