Evolution Boats has added a new Gamefisher model to its highly successful 600 Extreme range, complete with a moulded-in side door for landing the really big fish.
The Gamefisher is tipped to further increase the popularity of the 600 Extreme range which has built up a healthy order book since it was launched on 2 July at the Melbourne Boat Show.
Evolution Boats director Paul Junginger said the Gamefisher was designed for the keen bluewater angler who was out for tuna, marling and other larger species.
“This boat really lives up to our theme of building hardcore fishing boats for hardcore anglers,” he said.
“The entire 600 Extreme range has been a huge success, with enormous interest at both Melbourne and Adelaide Boat Shows, but we knew there was a market for a variant designed specifically to land those bigger fish.
“With the Gamefisher we offer the convenience of a side door along with all the usual Evolution Boats hallmarks of super-strong construction, exceptional room and a hull that is both stable at rest and quick onto the plane.”
The Evolution 600 Extreme range has a length overall of 6.5 metres, a hull length of 6.0 metres and a generous 2.49 metre beam, with a deadrise of 21 degrees.
Designed for outboards from 150 to 250 hp, with the option of twin outboards, it carries 250 litres of fuel for serious offshore range, and has Evolution’s famously generous cockpit with exceptional fishing room for six.
With a total boat-motor-trailer weight of 2250 kg on a Dunbier aluminium trailer, the 600 Extreme, including the Gamefisher, tows easily behind a mid-sized four-wheel-drive or even some family sedans with heavy duty tow packs
