Boat International Media acquires ShowBoats International magazine

Boat International Media has bought the monthly magazine ShowBoats International and associated publications, events and websites from CurtCo Media. MIAA
In a deal announced September 4, Boat International Media CEO Tony Harris confirmed the acquisition of the monthly magazine ShowBoats International and associated publications, events and websites from CurtCo Media LLC.

'This deal gives us the leading brand serving the US superyacht market and greatly enhances our position as the leading media company serving the global superyacht industry. ShowBoats International has an impressive 25 year history and will be a great addition to our global portfolio, enabling us to be the clear number one media choice in the US, the most important superyacht market in the world.

We will continue to invest in ShowBoats International and will merge our US magazine, Boat International USA with it from the next issue. Utilising our existing unrivalled global editorial and sales networks and the best circulation lists in the business, we will ensure that the ShowBoats brand goes from strength to strength. We expect to launch new events and web businesses for the US superyacht market without delay,' said Tony Harris, CEO of Boat International Media

Rebecca Cahilly, Editor of Boat International USA will become editor of the combined title ShowBoats International with immediate effect.

Gary De Sanctis, former Publisher of ShowBoats International will join CurtCo's Robb Report team and additionally act as a consultant to Boat International Media for a six month period to assist in a smooth and successful handover.
