Only two days left until the start of the Seychelles Regatta and Blue Ocean Events is pleased to announce a fleet of eleven teams for the first edition of this exclusive regatta that will see amateurs and renowned professional skippers race against each other.

From this Saturday 16th May, the Seychelles will be hosting eleven crews ready to race in its turquoise waters and amongst its archipelagos. This semi-professional regatta gathers companies from all horizons going from the paint retailing group Chagneau to the land development, asset management and commercial development of luxury residence programme, Ter Cognita.

Some of them will be honoured with the presence on their boat of some of the biggest names in sailing. Michel Desjoyeaux, winner of the last Vendée Globe, will join in with his partner and Seychelles Regatta’s gold partner, the Champagnes Nicolas Feuillatte.

Romain Attanasio, renowned Figaro skipper, will be at the helm for Group Keneos, that specialises in consulting SAP solutions.

Armel Le Cléac’h, IMOCA World champion, will showcase his know-how with the financial company ROME.

Eden Island, main sponsor of the Seychelles Regatta doubles its chances with two boats on the start line and one of them will be skippered by the first woman to have sailed solo non-stop round the world in both directions, Dee Caffari.

And CPR, the painting and coating company, will welcome onboard the first woman of the last Vendée Globe, Sam Davies.

Also on the start line and just as eager to win will be the crews of Air Seychelles, the Seychelles Tourism Board and C-Team, a businessmen association and they will all aim to not make it easy for the professional skippers!

Eden Island, one of the most prestigious private residential marinas in the world, will be the start point and finish of this exclusive event that will see the competitors sail to and past Beau Vallon, Silhouette, Praslin, Anse Lazio, Curieuse, Marianne, Anse Volbert and La Digue. En route, the participants will be hosted by two of the most luxurious hotels of the Seychelles, the Wharf and Labriz during two exceptional evenings.
