Steve Barker Paul Fleming
Goetz Boats, known worldwide for its aerospace caliber technology and excellent quality boat building, has hired Steve Barker. Formerly the Executive Vice President of Sales for Nautor Swan USA, Barker will spearhead an effort to continue to grow sales of lightweight, high performance sail and power boats to overseas markets.

Barker brings with him many years of knowledge and selling experience in the global marketplace. He will work closely with Goetz clients as well as designers and project managers to build distinctive high performance yachts. Goetz opened a new state of the art facility in 2007 where it is building yachts up to 120 feet. The facility utilizes the latest in yacht building technology along with finest interior joinery. Current projects include yachts designed by a variety of renowned naval architects including German Frers among others.

'Our production facility allows us to build bigger boats and a wider variety of boats, all of which provide our clients with yachts that have extremely efficient performance to weight ratios' according to Eric Goetz, Founder of Goetz Custom Technologies LLC. 'Mr. Barker’s knowledge of the yachting business on a global scale will help us to continue to grow our business and achieve our full potential as a company over the coming years' he continued.

Originally founded in 1975 as Eric Goetz Custom Sailboats Inc., the company is now operating as Goetz Custom Technologies LLC after successfully acquiring the assets of the former company.

The company’s pre-preg technology allows them to build the lightest, fastest, most durable yachts possible. Time and again, Goetz boats have proven themselves in the most competitive arenas, having emerged victorious in the America’s Cup, Admiral’s Cup, and Maxi Worlds. Whether building sail or power boats, racing or cruising boats, Goetz utilizes the same advanced technologies for maximum strength, speed and ease of handling. The company is currently working on two 82 ft. sailboats, one designed for cruising and one for racing and cruising.
