Marina berths at Sail Port Stephens

by Jody O'Brien on 3 Mar 2009
d’Albora Marina Nelson Bay - Sail Port Stephens d'Albora Marinas http://www.dalboramarinas.com.au

A marina berth is not included in your regatta entry fee for Sail Port Stephens, but investigate a little further and you’ll find that it’s very affordable.

There are a few options when it comes to where to find a spot to berth your boat at Sail Port Stephens.

d’Albora Marina, one of the regatta supporting partners, has a special deal for Sail Port Stephens entrants, with discounts on the weekly and daily rates.

For boats up to 40 foot, the cost for 7 nights (19th to the 26th of April inclusive) is $261, great value for the boats doing the feeder races from Pittwater and Newcastle, and kicking off the week with the Commodores Cup.

The daily rate for boats up to 40 foot is $67.50 per night – perfect for those boats only able to compete at the back end of the week in the Port Stephens Trophy and Yachting NSW IRC Championships.

For boats over 40 foot, call the Marina office direct on 02) 4984 1333 to find out the weekly or daily price for a berth at d’Albora Marina, Nelson Bay.

Start lines for the Commodores Cup and the Port Stephens Trophy fleets are very close to
d’Albora Marina, and it is a short motor out to the offshore start line for the Yachting NSW IRC Championship.

There are also berths available at Peppers Anchorage at Corlette Point and Soldiers Point Marina.

Sail Port Stephens racing:

20-22 April - Commodores Cup (PHS)
23 April - Lay Day – Lunching Mischief
24-26 April - Yachting NSW IRC Championship
- Port Stephens Trophy ( PHS)

From little things, big things grow, and Sail Port Stephens would not be possible without the support of the foundation partner group of Nelson Bay Diggers, Shoal Bay Resort and Spa, Peppers Anchorage and All Seasons Salamander Shores –as well as the resource contributions of the supporting partner group in SLAM, d’Albora Marina, Yachting NSW and Business Port Stephens, an initiative of Port Stephens Council.
