Conran collaborates on Sealine T60 Aura

UK-based luxury boat builder Sealine has just unveiled its revamped 18-metre flybridge motoryacht, called the T60 Aura, with a crisp, modern redesign in cooperation with London’s infinitely hip and chic, Studio Conran.

Studio Conran and the Sealine in-house design team worked together on the project, collaborating on the subtle changes to the exterior and the new crisp cool interiors.

The look is characterized by natural oaks, light finishes, long clean lines and floating, linear forms. Founded by Sir Terence Conran, whose motto is 'elegance lies in simplicity', the Studio undertook details like a teak laid cockpit, an L-shaped leather sofa and hand crafted coffee table in the saloon, and a striking full-width master stateroom with bespoke Japanese Maple wall features and an ensuite bath.

Designed for comfortable cruising at 25 to 28 knots, it can do 33 knots with optional larger engines. Kitted out by Conran, which has also done interiors for the Concorde, Sealine describes the T60 Aura as a 'rare environment in which performance, safety and practicality are equally as important as luxury and aesthetic beauty'.

In the T60 Aura, space has been optimised with practical, clever storage solutions. Subtly integrated technology provides flexibility, transforming the interior space of the Aura to suit the occupant’s mood, whether entertaining in port or cruising. Natural oaks, light finishes and furnishings throughout reflect light, helping to bring the outside in.

A look at The Ocean Cleanup and its the 30 Cities Program The cliche goes that one should avoid meeting one's heroes, as there's always a chance that the flesh-and-blood person might not live up to expectations. While I've never met Boyan Slat, I'd gladly take this risk.
