Tauranga's Oscar Rorvik heads for P class Double

Tauranga sailor Oscar Rorvik, who has just turned 15years old looks set to take the rare double in junior sailing - winning the Tanner and Tauranga Cups for the P class.

Rorvik has a worst placing of third in the racing - aside from an OCS on the first day, after nine races have been sailed at Parua Bay in the joint P class and Starling regatta organised by the Whangarei Cruising Club.

Second overall is Erica Dawson of Murrays Bay Sailing Club who is 13pts behind Rorvik, with Sam Mackay (Napier) a further 10 pts astern in third overall.

Racing continues Thursday and Friday. 53 boats have entered in the series.
