Australian B14 sailors are taking the final opportunity to get some practice before the class World Championships in the New Year. The Annual B14 Australian State titles are being held this weekend at the Sandy Bay Sailing Club and have attracted a record entry.
Currently with 25 entrants this is a record for a state B14 regatta.
With a fleet of over 50 boats expected to compete at the world championships, though only half the size this weekend will be one not to miss on the Derwent for spectators wanting to get down for a look.
With all the big guns in for the title, current State champions Adrian Beswick and Josh Phillips sailing on Strait4devils have some hard work ahead of them if they are to retain their title.
Not only are they competing to win, but also they are deep into their campaign to help save the Tasmanian devil (Strait4devils) and will be launching their newly signed boat for the championships after securing their naming Rights Sponsor Budget Car and Truck Rental.
Eleven boats are already on their way from the UK to take part in the B14 Worlds in Tasmania.
