On the nose - One Lap Dash Results

by Rob Kothe on 4 Oct 2008
Heaven Can Wait Yacht Club burgee SW
The Heaven Can Wait One Lap Dash race was shortened this afternoon, when a rain squall swept up Lake Macquarie.

It had been a long work to the top of the course, the Mannering Park mark, and as the leaders approached the wind swung through 180 degrees and breeze was again on the nose as the fleet struggled north to the Speers Point mark in Warners Bay where PRO Phil Yeomans finished the race.

On line honours it was a clear victory to the Sydney 41 Wallop, who enjoyed the double work, ahead of Flyblown and Rock n' Roll, the two Melges 32's.

Adam Workman's Jeanneau Catspaw was the handicap winner ahead of Mark Skelton's Maserati with Justin Mitchell's Mitchells Sails third.
