Sail marketing agency launched in Asia

by Sailing Events Asia on 27 Sep 2008
Sailing Events Asia represents the Extreme 40 class catamarans in Asia OnEdition /OC Events
When you think of sponsored yacht racing, sailing hospitality and team building days on performance yachts, most people will think of Europe, North America, Australia... pretty much anywhere except Asia. Until now.

Sailing Events Asia is a brand new company which has been set up as a result of an increasing number of enquiries from companies who are putting sailing into their marketing mix. Staff at Sailing Events Asia all have backgrounds in sailing and top level sport, as well as working backgrounds in marketing, sponsorship and events, making Sailing Events Asia unique in the market! ?With a pool of resources which stretches from regatta organizers to owners of yachts all the way across to sponsor platform owners and the decision makers, Sailing Events Asia are just a phone call or an email away from making things happen for your organization.

Sailing Events Asia currently offers packages for the following:

The Volvo Ocean Race, in Asia! The VOR starts in Alicante at the beginning of October, but the excitement is already building – including right here in Asia. Each stopover has been given the highest status with in-port racing, Extreme 40 racing, conferencing and arguably the best hospitality packages available at any sporting venue.

The Inaugural Asia Tour for the most exciting Sportsboat in Asia! The 2008-2009 inaugural Longtze Asia Tour will start in the home waters testing grounds of the Longtze - Hong Kong. From there the tour goes to other venues in Asia which have been selected for their high media coverage and proximity to target markets. Numbers of boats have been kept low for the first year to concentrate on establishing the tour credentials and letting a sponsor mature with the tour and constantly evaluate the direction and objectives. Hospitality options will be available for sponsors at certain regattas, as will a larger involvement in the regatta itself if requested.

November 2008 Hong Kong Lipton Cup
November 2008 Hong Kong Round the Island Race
January 2009 Malaysia Royal Langkawi Regatta
January 2009 Singapore Singapore Straits Regatta
February 2009 Dubai Maktoum Trophy (TBC)
April 2009 Korea Opening Regatta- 700 Yacht Club, Seoul

Sailing Events Asia also offer sponsor marketing and experience packages on the Extreme 40 class, the Akilaria Open 40 class as well as consulting on any specific sailing sponsorship needs from the platform or client side.
