by AST Media on 18 Aug 2008
Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page (AUS) 470 Class, Gold Medal with their coach Victor Kovalenko. Olympics Qingdao 2008 Sail-World.com /AUS http://www.sail-world.com
The Australian Men's 470 crew of Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page have won Gold in Qingdao.

The pair needed only to start the race in order to confirm their win on points, but they led the race the entire way and crossed the line first to claim victory.

It is the first time the pair have won an Olympic medal, having won everything else there is to win in their class worldwide.

A full wrap of Australia's sailing results for the day will be done once all racing is complete.
