The new Simrad IS20 multifunction instrument series provides unsurpassed performance and ease of use.

Designed for both power and sail boats, the range comprises six meticulously-developed and engineered instruments – two digital and four analogue heads – which can be simply installed and integrated on any vessel via Simrad’s NMEA 2000®-based SimNet data-sharing network.

At the forefront of the series, the IS20 GRAPHIC provides real-time graphical representation of instrument data, enabling boaters to easily visualise the incredibly accurate information from Simrad sensors. Also offering the flexibility to quickly toggle between display styles, it is the perfect universal performance instrument.

The IS20 COMBI provides a wealth of information and is ideal as a standalone system or as the first step into the world of state-of-the-art electronics. With the ability to be remotely controlled from an IS20 GRAPHIC, it can be used as a second instrument station, offering a variety of digital data combinations including speed, depth, temperature, trip log and passage time.

Despite the innovation in new digital instruments, the compass, rudder angle, tack and wind direction are still best presented on analogue instruments.

The IS20 COMPASS provides a precise 360° readout; the IS20 RUDDER provides a precise readout of rudder angle (and includes the rudder angle sensor); the IS20 TACK provides a magnified view of the wind angle; while the IS20 WIND has a highly-advanced Kalman filter that ensures superior accuracy and fast reaction time.

Featuring four-button interfaces for simple operation, easy-to-read needle pointers and selectable dusk/night backlighting, all IS20 analogue instruments also have integral LCD screens to ensure data can never be misread, regardless of conditions.

There is also an extensive range of active and passive transducers for the IS20 system, offering highly-accurate measurements and excellent reliability.

The new Simrad IS20 instrument series will be on display as part of Navico’s exhibit at this month’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
