Buon Giorno and Emotional Hooligan square in Farr 40 fleet.

Marcus Blackmore's Emotional Hooligan started this series as clear favourite in the Farr 40 fleet, helped by the absence of his long time rival Richard Perini's Corinthian Doors.

As expected Stephen Ellis' Buon Giorno provided some stiff competition taking the first race by 19 seconds from Emotional Hooligan, who fought back after being midfield during much of the race. Lang Walker took third place 8 seconds back a whisker ahead of Simon Whiston's Smile.

In the second race the fleet spread further apart and Emotional Hooligan controlled the second beat and run better to win by 44 seconds from Buon Giorno, with Neville Crichton's Team Shockwave almost a minute away in third place.

The series order after the first days racing has Rob Skinner's Weapon, Smile and Team Shockwave all equal on points battling for third pace behind the equal leaders, Buon Giorno and Emotional Hooligan

On past form Emotional Hooligan is still favoured to win but Buon Giorno, a regular placegetter in the Farr 40 fleet, with 3rd in both the 2000 and 2001 Rosemount regatta could yet take the silverware,
