They’re on the way! Nine production series boats are headed for Europe. Acquired by Belgian, Dutch, French, German and Swiss owners, they will sail in European waters this coming spring.
Luc Gellusseau, the European director of the Longtze Premier class, and the new owners are presently organising a series of events for the class. The aim is to set up regular racing meetings. First up, the Longtze Premiers will compete in the Naval School Grand Prix. This is the biggest sports boat meeting of its kind in Europe, and takes place in Brest, France, 8-11 May.
The first Longtze Premier sailing centre is now operational at the France Sail Pole in La Rochelle. Two boats are permanently available and ready to sail thanks to logistics and an infrastructure at the Pole that will allow these boats to be tested on water by anyone who wants to discover them and try them out.
Meanwhile, action hasn’t slowed down in Asia. In Qingdao, China, the production of Longtze Premiers has begun. They aim to produce five boats per month. Class Rules of the boat will be officially released on 15 March.
Longtze Premier are now preparing for the 13th China International Boat Show which will be staged at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre 10-13 April.
