Beneteau Monte Carlo 32 Open- Sporty Powerful

Designer Pierangelo Andreani says of the Monte Carlo range that the project was a real challenge. Not only did they have to design one beautiful boat, but also to create a completely new range that would marry the unique expertise of Beneteau in the design of ‘fast’ hull with the Mediterranean style of open powerboats.

Like its big brother, the Monte Carlo 37, the 32 Open benefits from the patented AirStep Hull.

The Monte Carlo 32 Open is the first of the range to offer a choice of diesel or petrol engines. With stern drive propulsion, it is offered with Volvo 5.7 GI DPS (2 x 270hp) petrol engines or 2 x 190hp Volvo D3 diesel engines.

The 32 Open has its deck plan arranged in three areas: The saloon, will accommodate 6 passengers and can be converted into a sunbathing platform, opens onto a bathing platform with built-in foldaway bathing ladder.
In the cockpit, there is also a foldaway unit with sink and mixer tap as well as the refrigerator and grill (optional). – A deck chair for one person to starboard with stowage for a 10-person life-raft built in beneath the seat. – The helm position has a two seater driving seat which is adjustable. The sport instrument panel is in metallic grey with rev counter and built-in switches. The 3-spoke steering wheel, electric Volvo engine controls, position for a Raymarine e80 or E120 multifunction screen and co-pilot’s handrail complete this area.

Its polished and luxurious interior combines refined lines with contemporary textures and materials (Wenge and light oak stained woodwork, beige, white and hemp coloured fabrics).

Its original layout design harmonises a large living space (due to the modular construction of the saloon and forward sleeping space) and intimacy (aft cabin with separating door).

The saloon (1.8m headroom at the companionway and 1.7m at the forward end of the saloon) has a 5-seater sofa that can be converted into extra berth space for a child (length 1.47m).

The galley is fitted with a unit with stainless steel sink and mixer tap, 2-burner hob (ceramic glass as an option), built-in wastebin and a 42 Litre refrigerator. There is stowage space and a microwave oven above the work surface.

Like the aft cabin, the owner’s cabin, ventilated by two opening ports and a hatch, has a double berth with marine mattress (2 x 1.67m).

The head compartment (1.85m headroom) is fitted with a marine toilet, washbasin with mixer tap and shower curtain. Ventilation is provided by one port and an opening hatch.
