Longtze Premier sportsboat on display

by China Team on 4 Oct 2007
The Longtze Premier sportsboat is a crowd-stopper at Shenzhen International Airport Longtze Premier
The first prototype of LONGTZE Premier, the new Sport Boat class produced by China Team, has been on display in Shenzhen International Airport since 29 September and will be there for the next two months. Shenzhen is one of the biggest airports in China with 20 million passengers passing through each year. Longtze Premier was transported 2000 km by land from Qingdao, and Thierry Barot was in charge of the operation:

I arrived at the airport about 19h30, accompanied by 10 Chinese who had come to help me. We carried the boat on our shoulders and entered the hall by the arrival gate. We then installed the boat in the middle of the hall. The people were curious to see me work and asked lots of questions. It is a fantastic location with enormous visibility. At this moment, it the Autumn Festival in China and everyone in the country has four days of vacation.

We are anticipating holiday traffic of more than 4 million people. We received a wonderful reception from the airport authorities and the organizers of the China Cup, who are very enthusiastic about the teams' projects.

The boat will be on display for the next two months and will remain in the airport for the whole duration of the China Cup which will take place at Longcheer Yacht Club, Shenzhen, from 19-21 October 2007. China Team will participate in this regatta on two other prototypes now being tested in Qingdao.
