Henri Lloyd’s new concept corner on Hamilton Island opened last month to strong cheers from Australia’s sailing community and to even stronger opening sales. The opening of the store coincided with Henri Lloyd’s first year as official clothing sponsor for one of Australia’s most exciting, action packed sailing events for yachties and fashionistas alike – Audi Hamilton Island Race Week 2007.

During Race Week, aside from the high performance sailing that takes place around the beautiful but blustery Whitsunday Islands, Hamilton Island also becomes a playground for Australia’s leading yachtsman and celebrity personalities such as Sandra Sully, Jamie Durie and Todd Woodbridge. Qualia, the islands new luxury resort, also hosted a fashion parade on the regatta’s opening weekend of fashion icon Collette Dinnigan’s new resort collection at a lavish cocktail style party.

The new store features the signature Henri Lloyd look of white washed wood paneled walls, thick walnut stained bench tops and change rooms with rustic porthole windows. Stocking highlights from both the Henri Lloyd Marine and Spring Summer 2007 lifestyle collections - look out for the hot new hues of Mint, Blossom and Vanilla mixed with the traditional tones of red, white and navy for both men and women. The end result is a perfect nautical fusion of environment and style.

Henri Lloyd also has a continuing commitment to cutting edge marine technology and is worn by world renowned sailors including Australia’s very own super maxi yacht Wild Oats XI. Creating products that marry marine technical clothing with lifestyle fashion - products which translate easily from ship to shore!
