Weather delays Yngling Worlds

Racing was postponed Friday at the Volvo Yngling Open World and European Youth Championships in the Netherlands. The Dutch team of, Hidde-Jan Haven, Don van Arem and Auke van der Werf lead the Worlds, with just racing on Saturday to go.

In the World Championship the Dutch team of, Hidde-Jan Haven, Don van Arem and Auke van der Werf are leading by five points from, Anna Basalkina, Vladitava Ukraitseva, Ekaterina Maximova, from Russia, after ten races.

In the European Youth Worlds, Hidde-Jan Haven, Don van Arem, Auke van der Werf (NED 333) lead from Marc Wain Pedersen, Morten Gronning, Kristian Schaldemose (DEN 24).

Thank you, Huey… Some sun, and a tad of wind means it is time to go racing... Ahead of the annual Beneteau Pittwater Regatta by Flagstaff Marine the weather had not been all that grand. So, peaks of sun migrating to distinct patches, and the occasional zephyr turning into a waft, then on to a calm breeze was fortunate.
