SingaporeSailing elects new Executive Committee

SingaporeSailing’s Executive Committee for the term 2007 / 08 was elected at the 41st Annual General Meeting on 28 June. The Executive Committee of the Singapore Sailing Federation now comprises:

President: Mr LOW Teo Ping

Deputy President: Mr Albert LEE Cheow Soon

Advisor: Mr Peter LIM Heng Loong

Vice President (Windsurfing): Mr Jason LIM Swee Kay

Vice President (Dinghies): Mr ONG Yew Huat

Vice President (Keelboats): Mr Gordon MAXTED

Treasurer: Mr TAN Chian Khong

Secretary-General: Mr Edwin LOW Boon Ann

Co-opted Member: Ms KOK Yul Chin

Deputy President Albert LEE Cheow Soon and Treasurer TAN Chian Kong were re-elected to office and will serve a two-year term. Mr Peter LIM Heng Loong was co-opted as advisor again and will serve one year in office. Ms KOK Yul Chin was co-opted for the second time and will serve one year in office.
New member Mr Ong Yew Huat has been elected into office as Vice President for Dinghies. Yew Huat has been sailing since 1970s and is also a member of Changi Sailing Club. Currently the Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young, Yew Huat hopes he can contribute to the rise of sailing and help make Singapore one of the top sailing nations in the world.

On behalf of SingaporeSailing, the President, Mr LOW Teo Ping gave thanks to exiting Vice President (Dinghies), Dr Benedict TAN Chi Loong for his valuable contribution to SingaporeSailing over the last four years.
