Team SEB and IconMedialab launch new web site for the Volvo Ocean Race

participation in the Volvo Ocean Race, the ultimate round the world
sailing competition. The web site was built by IconMedialab, who now
also is a partner in the Team SEB project.

The race will get under way on September 23, starting at the port of
Southampton in the UK. The Team SEB boat will be led by the skipper
Gurra Krantz, who has participated in this event (formerly known as the
Whitbread Race) three times as well as in a number of other
international competitions.

The new web site www.teamseb.com will provide on-line reports, maps,
diagrams, audio interviews and video footage from the Team SEB boat
throughout its nine months or so at sea and 32,700 nautical miles the
race will cover. General information about the race will also be
featured on the web site.

'The new web site will provide the public with easy access to the
'inside story' from the Team SEB boat during the race's nine month
period. We have worked closely with IconMedialab who has really
demonstrated the competence needed to create an Internet solution of
this kind,' said Pelle Norberg, Managing Director of the syndicate
company within Team SEB.

'Working together with Team SEB has taught us that there are, in fact,
many similarities between sailing, banking and the Internet: among other
skills it requires true teamwork, the ability to utilize the latest
technology and adjust to major changes that are often difficult to
foresee, in order to succeed,' said Rens Buchwaldt, CEO of IconMedialab.
Creating the web solution for Team SEB has been a highly stimulating
challenge for IconMedialab.

teamseb.com is technologically advanced with tools for publishing daily
updates, mobile pictures and animations. It also allows users to
interact with the crew whilst providing extensive information about the
race.
