The Hanseatic Lloyd Dragon Grand Prix Germany 2007 will be sailed from 21 to 24 July. The regatta is organized by the Kieler Yacht-Club in cooperation with the Yacht-Club Strande in the bay off Kiel, Strande.

By now, seven weeks before the HLL Dragon Grand Prix starts, the limit of 65 Dragons is nearly reached. There are great names standing on the entry-list:

World Champion Jorgen Schönherr (DEN), master of winners Poul-Richard Hoj-Jensen (DEN/GBR), winner of the French Grand Prix 2007 Thommy Müller (GER) and many others.

Hanseatic Lloyd Dragon Grand Prix (21 to 24 July)

Seven regattas are on the schedule from Saturday till Tuesday. The winner will receive a Challenge Trophy, a model of the 'HLL Atlantic' container ship, which is by now exhibited in the Kieler Yacht-Club and which is combined with a 5,000 euro limited partner´s share in the 'HLL Atlantic' (capacity 4,700 TEU).

In addition to that each of the three crew members will get a valuable Chronoswiss watch.

Chronoswiss Dragon Baltic Challenge

The Hanseatic Lloyd Dragon Grand Prix will be part of the 'Chronoswiss Dragon Baltic Challenge' again, which is already announced for the second time in the Dragon class. The helmsman with the highest scores will be the winner of the Chronoswiss Baltic Challenge 2007 and the lucky new owner of a valuable Chronoswiss watch.

Four regattas are combined in this challenge: the Technogym Wellness Cup in Denmark, the Kiel Week, the Danish Championship and finally the HLL Dragon Grand Prix.

CHILDHOOD Charity Golf & Race (22 July 2007)

On Sunday the sport will be for the good cause again. H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden and the prime minister of the federal state Schleswig-Holstein, Peter Harry Carstensen, will engage at the golfing as well as at the sailing for eligible projects for disadvantaged children in northern Germany.

A lot of VIPs are expected, many companies are supporting the charity actions, mainly the Bremer Landesbank, the Germanischer Lloyd and the Peter Deilmann Cruise Shipping Company.

The prize giving ceremony of the CHILDHOOD Charity Golf & Race on Sunday will be followed by a Barbecue.

Sailors’ Golf

New in this year’s programme is the 'Sailors’ Golf'-tournament at the Golf Club Gut Uhlenhorst. Sailors, guests and friends will swing their golf clubs in a cheerful round on the day before the Grand Prix (Friday, 20 July 2007, from 13.00 hrs on). It will be played in a team 'Best Ball', so that even beginners can take part.
