Emirates Team New Zealand today won the Louis Vuitton Cup, beating Luna Rossa by 22 seconds

In the waters off Valencia, NZL 92 earned the team the right to challenge Alinghi for the America’s Cup.

Today ITA 94 threw everything it had at NZL 92 on both the beats and downwind legs today and at times took some big chunks out of the Kiwi lead.

Poised and confident, NZL 92’s crew withstood the pressure in the light and shifty conditions to lead around every mark to take its fifth straight win in the best of nine regatta.

The America’s Cup regatta starts on June 23
