BMW ORACLE Racing Tom Ehman writes: One of the purposes of this blog is to share the 'trials and tribulations' with our families, friends and supporters. One of the trials is reading the media reports and analyses after a tough or unexpected loss.

Obviously in a campaign like this, as in life, you can't have good news all the time. When the bad news comes you can ignore it -- burying your head in the sand -- or read it and maybe weep, learn from it to the extent there are lessons, and then get on with life.

You have to laugh at what some people have published in the various media about our semifinal demise; others have written thoughtful if not totally accurate (IMHO) pieces.

Below are two articles of note if for no other reason than they appear in "big city papers" and are written by respected, long-time Cup reporters. We share them with you to give some perspective as to what some others are thinking, not to contribute to the blame game ourselves:

Further down the BMW ORACLE Racing Blog there is an excellent analysis on the how sponsors score a game like the America's Cup and guage their return on investment.
